Spire Principal and Account Supervisor, Julia Cardali, has been named “Young Professional of the Year” by the Dallas chapter of the American Advertising Federation. She received the honor at the 61st Annual ADDY Awards on March 1 at Gilley’s Dallas.

The Suits Awards were launched by AAF Dallas in 2018 to honor the ambassadors of creative work who had previously gone unrecognized during Creative Awards Season. The Suits Awards include Agency Leader, Account Exec, Producer, Agency Support, Media Partner, Educator, Client and, of course, Young Professional of the Year.

AAF Dallas describes the Young Professional of the Year as “a young professional (32 and under) who is an outstanding advertising professional. They are moving the industry forward with their bright ideas and passionate energy. In other words, this person is the one that is most likely to be your boss in 10 years.”

Cardali was recently named to the prestigious 32 Under 32 list by Ad 2 Dallas. The class of 2022 was honored at an in-person gala in November. Ad 2 Dallas is an affiliate of AAF Dallas for advertising professionals who are 32 years of age or younger. According to Ad 2 Dallas, there were 200 nominations for this year’s class, making it the most competitive in the history of the award.

Julia joined Spire in October 2019 and plays a critical role in managing strategic planning, creative output, and client relationships at AAF District 10’s most-awarded B2B agency. In three short years at Spire, Julia has been promoted to Sr. Account Executive, Account Supervisor, and most recently, Principal. Today, she manages several of the agency’s key accounts, including TrinityRail, Tyler Technologies, Baby360, Halff, Cole Ranch, and Cox Media.

In a record-setting awards year for Spire, Julia’s accounts amassed 21 industry awards and recognitions, including those from Graphis, Hermes, AVA Digital, Telly, and the AAF Dallas ADDYs, including the coveted Extreme Makeover award.

“Spire may not be the only one needing a larger trophy case,” said Mike Stopper, EVP Client Service & Planning at Spire. “Julia is incredibly deserving of this award, and it reinforces what we already knew about her—she is Dallas’ very best.”

Julia is a rostered member of Ad 2 Dallas, and recently received an Integrated Marketing 360 certification from Cornell University. She is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, and began her career in the B2C realm at TM Advertising, working on a number of household brands that include Universal Orlando, No Yolks, and American Airlines Federal Credit Union.
