Step into Spring with Spotify Playlist, Vol. 65: April Airwaves

April has a way of sneaking up on you—in the best way. The air feels different, your calendar starts to fill, and suddenly everything is a little more alive. It’s not a hard reset or a dramatic shift—it’s lighter than that. More like a steady lift.

Our newest Spire on Spotify playlist, Vol. 65: April Airwaves, taps into that feeling. Light, rhythmic, and effortlessly energizing, this mix is designed to carry you through that seasonal transition.

Julia, what is the name of your album?

My playlist is called April Airwaves. The name came from the feeling I wanted it to have, like music that’s carried in on a spring breeze. It’s light, a little airy, and constantly moving. It captures both the calm and the energy that come with this time of year.

How would you describe this mix?

April Airwaves is a laid-back mix with an upbeat edge, perfect for spring days when everything feels a little lighter. Whether you’re tackling a long to-do list, doing some spring cleaning, or driving with the windows down again, it brings a sense of energy without overwhelming the moment. It’s as vibrant and easygoing as wildflowers in full bloom.

What was your inspiration behind it?

This playlist is a blend of what I’ve been listening to lately, what’s trending across the U.S. right now, and a few artists and tracks featured during Coachella this past weekend. It’s a snapshot of the current music moment, layered with a personal touch.

What is your favorite song, and why?

My favorite song is “Vanish Into You” by Lady Gaga. I’ve been a fan since her early days, but seeing her live recently completely reignited that appreciation. The performance was part opera, part Broadway, part concert—just incredible. I hadn’t heard this particular song prior to the concert, but I’ve had it on replay since.

“Breathe, breathe in the air. Don’t be afraid to care.”

– “Breathe (In the Air)” by Pink Floyd

What makes your playlist unique?

It blends what’s current with what’s personal. You get a mix of widely recognized tracks alongside songs that feel a little more unexpected, all tied together by a consistent springtime energy.
